THE WALK is a location-based audio installation tailored specifically for our neighborhood in Venice, California.

As you walk through route, the app uses your GPS location - your movement dynamically mixes the music and triggers the stories, re-creating the experience of meandering and letting your mind wander in an ever changing landscape that responds to where you are. 

The app also responds to time: as the hours change, the layers of the music evolve- each time you experience The Walk, it’s different.

Inspired by and originally designed for Abbott Kinney, The Walk has been adapted to multiple locations, including Mexico City and Richmond, Virginia, with more in the works.

The Walk is created, composed and performed by Alex Kemp, produced by Wolf at the Door Studios.
