A NEW KIND OF ANTHOLOGY FICTION PODCAST BASED ON AN ALBUM.

Musicians and writers have a long history of cross-pollination. STORIES FROM: is our way to bring back the kind of artistic interplay that made Lester Bangs and Chuck Klosterman and Hunter S. Thompson mainstays of the cultural landscape.

When we wrapped up producing the latest POOLSIDE record, “The Low Season,” we decided to combine our two passions, and created STORIES FROM THE LOW SEASON, a 9 episode fiction anthology, with each piece written by some of our favorite writers based on a track from the record.

It's been exciting, working with New York Times Best-Selling authors like REBECCA HANOVER and recording accomplished talent including HALEY JOEL OSMENT. We’re exploring sound design and minimalist remixes of the tracks to create emotional underscore for the narrations or performances.

We found that writers are eager to crossover to new audiences and have their work performed in a new way. And given the current circumstances, there’s a lot of talent eager to work on interesting projects in a safe way, considering so many productions have stopped in their tracks.

The first season of STORIES FROM was produced entirely as a passion project, with everyone donating their time and talent purely for the love of an enticing artistic experiment.
